Built in 1926, the temple is situated on a magnificent site near a Lake, at the foot of the Batur Volcano. Pura Ulun Danu Batur consists of a cluster of nine temples. There are a total of 285 temples dedicated to the gods of water, mountains, farming, craftsmanship, and many others. Putting aside the beauty of the temple, the place itself is the great attraction, on the shores of the lake and surrounded by green mountains.
